there are different ways of looking back at a lifetime

places I've lived

one way is to consider a series of seasons

my earlier memories feel intertwined with patterns of weather

temperature scale
precipitation scale
seasonal temperature and precipitation, over my lifetime, for the locations I've been in
earlier, my feeling of seasonality was primarily from heat; more recently, from precipitation

after many seasons,

the most consistent pattern of all, easy to overlook at first,

now feels the most central
