crosswalks are places of conflicting needs, where the powerful often have priority
recently, a raised crosswalk1 was put in nearby
it makes it feel like the road crosses the walkway, rather than the walkway being interrupted by road
at crosswalks, we often have to push a button to get permission
but the priority could be reversed
what about maintaining the connections and movements of living things?
Why did the chicken cross the road? Embedded...is an assumption—that the road is inviolable and eternal...
A better question might be, why did the road cross the land? 3
